Now countries and the mining industry plan to move into the deep sea. \r\nBeing a new form of mining there is a high level of uncertainty about the risks to marine environments and coastal communities.\r\nIn addition to the dangers posed by global climate change, Deep Seabed Mining could further threaten the existence of Pacific people.\r\nResistance is growing, however. It stems from environmentalists, scientists, non-government organizations, churches and many coastal communities in the Pacific, the region most affected by the run on the deep seas\u2019 treasures.\r\n","link":"https:\/\/www.ozeanien-dialog.de\/?cat=49&lang=en","name":"Say no to Experimental Seabed Mining!","slug":"seabed-mining","taxonomy":"category","parent":0,"meta":[],"acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.ozeanien-dialog.de\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/categories\/49"}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.ozeanien-dialog.de\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/categories"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.ozeanien-dialog.de\/index.php?rest_route=\/wp\/v2\/taxonomies\/category"}],"wp:post_type":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.ozeanien-dialog.de\/index.php?rest_route=%2Fwp%2Fv2%2Fposts&categories=49"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
